Aisling Bea
Aisling B a was born 16 March 1984. She was born in Kildare Ireland. The comedian has appeared seen on QI along as well as Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known by her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea's career began in 2011, as a stand-up comedian, following her appearance in a few part in Irish and British TV series starting in 2009. She began appearing often on sketch comedy and sitcoms in 2012. After her victory at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel show. Between 2016 and 2017, she served as the team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats and a regular contestant on the follow-up show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012, she was the first woman ever to receive the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea, her maiden name, is a tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan is the daughter of a Kildare born girl. Born on the 16th of March, 1984. Bea's father Brian passed away at the age of three. He was a horse veterinarian. Bea wasn't told the details of how he passed away until she turned 13. The stage name she chose was Bea as a tribute to her father. She published an article in The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea (and her sister Sinead) were raised in the same home as Helen Moloney, a instructor and trainer of jockeys who was a professional jockey. Their family was in love with horses and race meetings. Bea was a child a Tour Guide in the Irish National Stud. From an early age, Bea knew that she was not interested in a racing career. She was more interested in the performing arts.
