Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. She's best known as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her professional career in showbiz early. Her roles included lead characters in dramas on television as young at the age of 16. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like the role of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Through the years, Alexandra has worked in several noteworthy national and international projects. Some of these include the British biographical film Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon. Her other roles include being juror at two festivals: and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
